Rix12 - the Riksläger of 2012!

“Riksläger” is an annual summer tent camp for the Swedish 4H youth, from 13 years of age. Members from all over Sweden, and other countries, get together for a week filled with fun! This year the camp takes place in Uppsala, between July 13th -20th .
All the participants partake in the camp as a troop based on which county of Sweden you belong to, and set up their tents accordingly.
Camp starts Friday 13th with all participants starting to arrive on site around noon, to set up camp. That evening there's usually a welcoming from the organizers and some fun things happening on stage.
There will be a lot of things happening during the week, both activities planned by the organizers and also a lot of spontaneous fun around the camp, as well as cozy nights around the camp fires, entertainment on stage and disco nights. The most important thing for many campers is the Camp Competition, which will take place throughout the week, and contains everything from volleyball to a talent show, and much much more.
All meals, from Friday dinner until next Friday breakfast are included in the fee you pay to come, and there is all so a small cafe on site.

Below you can see a list of some things that might be advisable to pack for the camp:
A variety of clothes ( even if the days can be really warm, it can also get really chilly at nite)
Rain clothes
Swim suit
Some sort of sun hat/ cap
Welllingtons and runners, as well as maybe sandals
Water bottle
Small backpack ( important on those days that activities will take you off site)
Flashlight and batteries
Toothbrush and paste, soap, shampoo etc
Band aid
Pocket money

And of course, as 4H is an organization which is anti drugs and alcohol, so is this camp.
